Covid-19 Schedule and Policies

We have a new schedule!  And who said churches didn’t handle change well?!  We have our Sunday School classes (K-2nd, 3rd-5th, Youth and Adult classes) begin at 9:00 AM each Sunday.  At 10:00AM we meet in our gym in order to accommodate more space for one combined service until further notice.  The building has been (and continues to be each week) professionally cleaned and sanitized before each Sunday.  We are able to spread out more in the gym as well for doing what we can to keep each other safe.  And if you are uncomfortable in joining with us yet on campus, you can join us online as the services become available, as well as submit your offering online at

Sunday AM Schedule
9:00 AM – Sunday School classes for kindergarten and above (no nursery provided at this time)
10:00 AM – Combined family Worship service in the gym (no nursery provided at this time)
Below is also our new policies for beginning our children’s Sunday School classes starting Sunday, July 5th.
1) Take children’s & workers temperatures upon arrival.

2)  Hand-washing session for all after class begins.

3)  Provide hand sanitizer for each classroom.

4)  Provide lotion if hand sanitizer is an irritant for any hands.

5)  No nursery (birth-5 years) at this time.   The nursery will be cleaned and prepped however if you or a family member needs to take a child in there during the service.  No nursery is available otherwise at this time during 9:00 or 10:00 hours.

6)  Class size will be below 25 participants (NC Dept. of Health recommendation) and students will be spaced out at tables appropriately.  If more tables or chairs are needed, we can do that.

7)  Additional hand washing time at end of class, before moving to Worship service or being picked up by parents.

8)  All classrooms will be professionally cleaned and sanitized before July 5th, and each week thereafter (tabletops, countertops, doorknobs, etc)

9)  The nursery will be cleaned as well and available for use during service if anyone needs to step out with a child, but there will not be volunteers to accommodate multiple children at this time.

Thank you to so many of our Staff, Volunteers and Children’s Ministry workers, this is only possible because of your dedication to the families of PPBC and the community of Matthews!
